Privacy Policy

Alarming helps people create wake-up alarms and invite friends to contribute short audio clips. This policy explains what information the app stores, how it is used, and how users can delete or request deletion of that information.
Information We Collect
Alarming may store account information such as your email address and sign-in provider, alarm details that you create, invite records, uploaded audio clips, clip moderation reports, and technical metadata needed to deliver the service. If you submit a clip through an invite link, we may store the name you enter, the uploaded audio, submission status, and metadata needed to connect it to the invite.
How We Use Information
We use stored information to authenticate users, connect local alarms to invite links, accept friend-submitted clips, select a clip for an alarm occurrence, and review abuse reports or other misuse.
Friend Clips and Moderation
Friend clips submitted through invite links are accepted automatically into the invite pool. Clips must not contain abusive, hateful, threatening, sexual, illegal, or privacy-invasive audio. The alarm owner can remove or report clips, revoke invite links, and block future submissions from an invite when they need to stop abuse or unwanted access.
Storage and Service Providers
Alarming uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage, to operate the live backend. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, those providers also process authentication data as part of the sign-in flow.
Local-Only Use
You can use Alarming without signing in. In that mode, alarms stay on your device and do not use the live backend features for invites, uploaded clips, or account sync.
Data Sharing
Uploaded clips and invite details are shared only as needed to operate the alarm flows that users initiate. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
We retain account, alarm, invite, and submission data for as long as it is needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce policies. Signed-in users can hard-delete their account in the app, with optional feedback, and we also support server-mediated deletion requests as described below.
